Gold Coast Hinterland ‘floating home’ is Qld’s hottest new build

159 Nathanvale Dr, Mount Nathan

A contemporary Gold Coast Hinterland acreage property that appears to float over the bush is Queensland’s hottest home of the week.

The striking new build at 159 Nathanvale Dr, Mount Nathan notched up the most views of any residential property listed for sale on www.realestate.com.au over the last seven days.

But while the estate is set over more than 30 acres of rural land, there’s nothing country about the sophisticated styling of this luxury abode.

Known as the Allawah Estate, the home is marketed by Talei Kelly and David Manby, of LJ Hooker Property Hub, and goes under the hammer on Sunday.

The two-storey home was an owner-builder project by DC House, and has four bedrooms and a home office or media room, three bathrooms plus powder room, and a triple garage with polished concrete floors.

Anne Flaherty, economist at realestate.com.au, says this pocket of the city has an abundance of local schools, universities and parklands, which makes it a great fit for families. Plus, its surrounding nature is matched by its wealth of local amenities.

“One of advantages of this particular area is how connected it is,” Flaherty says. “There’s lots of retail amenity — it has everything you need. But at the same time, it’s not very far from the Dandenong Ranges and has easy connectivity to the CBD.”
